The Handtevy Pre-Hospital Pediatric Instructor Course is an 8-hour live lecture and hands-on course that is intended to certify instructors to teach the Handtevy Pre-Hospital Pediatric Provider Course at their department and earn credit. The course uses the basic tenets of ACLS training as the foundation, while still covering the basic pediatric ALS principles and nuances. The course focuses on the skills needed to rapidly and accurately treat the sick and injured pediatric patient.

This hybrid instructor course combines an online self-paced component as well as a live Zoom session with one of our Handtevy Lead Trainers. This combined 8-hour course is highly interactive and has a hands-on component to arm agency instructors with the tools and resources to teach the Handtevy Provider Course.
Course Content/Format
CAPCE Certified – 8 CEUs available
This virtual hybrid course will combine an online self-paced component as well as a live Zoom session with industry-leading instructor trainer(s). This combined 8-hour course will be highly interactive and have a hands-on component to arm agency instructors with the tools and resources to teach the Handtevy Prehospital Pediatric Provider Course. The course uses the basic tenets of ACLS training as the foundation. It introduces a new approach to caring for pediatric patients by covering the principles and nuances that exist with kids. Each participant will be mailed a Handtevy Training Kit that will be returned after completion of the course for the live Zoom session. The live Zoom session will focus on the hands-on components of the provider course and details about instructing the course. Upon successful completion of the course, instructors will be certified for 2 years to teach the 4- or 8-hour provider courses. You will leave this training feeling invigorated and empowered to treat kids like little adults and share that knowledge with EMS clinicians in your department, as a member and leader of a pre-hospital team.
You will be required to complete some online training as well as join for a live session. We will be mailing you the equipment that you will need to use for the course. You are required to have a computer with a camera to run Zoom on so instructors can evaluate your skills as well as have you participate in the group scenarios.
Course Completion Card or Certificate
